Achievement
Jerry McHugh’s accomplishments
in the law have earned him a number of professional distinctions.
- In
the first statewide SuperLawyers survey, in which 33,000
lawyers were polled, Mr. McHugh was rated as one of
the top ten lawyers in Pennsylvania.
- He is listed in the current
edition of Best Lawyers in America in the field of
personal injury, based upon votes he received from fellow
lawyers.
- The
International Academy of Trial Lawyers has admitted
him to Fellowship. The Academy’s membership is
limited to 500 of the top trial attorneys in the United
States.
- The
American College of Trial Lawyers has named him a Fellow.
The College’s membership is limited
to attorneys rated among the top one percent of trial
practitioners, based upon evaluations from other attorneys
and judges.
- The
American Law Institute (ALI), a national organization
of legal scholars, judges, and lawyers dedicated to improving
the law, elected him to membership.
- He has received the
highest possible rating an attorney can achieve from
the Martindale-Hubell Law Directory, for both legal ability
and professional integrity.
- On several occasions, his verdicts
or settlements have received attention in the National
Law Journal or American Bar
Association Journal, and
he has achieved settlements for clients reaching seven
or eight figures more than thirty times.
- He is one of only
two lawyers in the history of the Bar to have received
both the Fidelity Award of the Philadelphia Bar Association,
for extraordinary contribution to the justice system,
and the Justice Musmanno Award from the Philadelphia
Trial Lawyers Association, for dedication to the innocent
and injured.
